Invicta Aero Club is a friendly flying club and flight school with Kent bases at Rochester, Lydd and Stoke. It offers a cost-effective route to learning to fly, and aircraft hire for qualified pilots across the South East.
Training runs from introductory experience flights and trial lessons through to the Private Pilot's Licence (PPL), with all-inclusive training packages available. The club is a CAA declared training organisation (DTO 321) and approved training organisation (ATO 585).
The fleet includes Piper PA-28 Archer II and Arrow tourers, Cessna 172 trainers and a Pitts Special S2B for aerobatic training and experience flights, with modern avionics including Garmin systems and iPad integration with the Garmin Pilot app.
The club's display flying is busy too. Its Invicta Horses team flies close-formation displays in the club's Cessna 172s, and was on the programme for the airport's Family Fun Day and Air Display alongside the club's Pitts Special solo display. The club also flies wedding, event and memorial flypasts, and its aircraft have appeared in film and television work.
