Ask a Pilot Evening in the Invicta Club House.

Rochester Airport was delighted to support Invicta Aero Club’s ‘Ask a Pilot’ evening on Sunday 1st November 2026, encouraging people to discover the opportunities available in aviation.

The informal evening offered an opportunity to speak with the club’s team about learning to fly, gaining additional qualifications and exploring pathways into display flying or a career as a commercial pilot. It provided an approachable setting to ask questions and find out more about taking the next step in aviation.

The airport was also delighted to welcome Cllr Trevor Clarke to the evening.

Supporting events like this reflects Rochester Airport’s commitment to strengthening its aviation community and helping more people discover flying. Bringing together the knowledge and enthusiasm of local aviation businesses helps make the airport a welcoming place for both experienced pilots and those considering their first lesson.

Ben Spiers, Airport Director and Accountable Manager at Rochester Airport, said:

“We were delighted to support Invicta Aero Club’s ‘Ask a Pilot’ evening. For someone interested in flying, having the opportunity to sit down with a pilot, ask questions and understand where to begin can make a real difference.

“Our ambition is for Rochester Airport to be a place where people feel welcome, make connections and discover what aviation has to offer. Invicta Aero Club is an important part of that community, and we are pleased to support its work to encourage and inspire future aviators.”

Rochester Airport extends its thanks to the Invicta Aero Club team and everyone who contributed their time and experience to the evening.
