Olympic Torch Escort

Rochester Airport pilots and friends supporting the London Olympics 2012

At last a break in the weather and we managed to fly 10 resident aircraft to escort the Olympic Torch above Chatham, Rochester and Strood. They were accompanied by a banner flown by Air Ads Ltd together with a helicopter from AV8 Helicopters Ltd kindly supported by Pat Gallagher and flew Medway dignitaries along the route. The Medway Mayoral party landed by helicopter at the airport and joined us for breakfast in the Airport Café with our compliments. Our thanks to our pilots and friends for giving up their time to support the event.
